Apprenticeship Applications
To make an application you need a Local 26 TradeSchool user account. In your TradeSchool account click on the applications tab to view a list of program applications. Applicants can only apply to one apprenticeship program at a time. Inside the apprentice application, select the Inside Metro Area Apprenticeship, Roanoke Area Apprenticeship, or Technology Services Apprenticeship. Apprenticeship applicants will qualify for ranking through the George A. Neuman Human Resource company (GAN) application process. At the time you open an apprenticeship application in TradeSchool you will be charged an application fee, and your contact information will be submitted to the GAN. GAN will contact you by email with instructions to begin uploading information into your application. The application fee is nonrefundable, so please choose your program carefully.
Trainee Applications
You can apply for a trainee program at the same time you apply for an apprenticeship program. Applicants become trainees when they are referred to a contractor and assigned a job. Trainee Applications are free and will not require enrollment in the GAN application process. Applicants can choose from the Residential and Communication Installer Trainee programs. Many people decide to work as trainees as they wait for selection into apprenticeship.
Aptitude Testing
Only Apprentice Applicants take an aptitude test. The JATC will schedule your aptitude test after you begin the GAN application. You will be notified of your testing date by email. Need help with the Aptitude Test? GAN Human Resources
